About this call

SMUSH Gallery in Jersey City presents the second installment of The Zine Show, January 8 to March 7, 2027, a celebration of zines as a medium and an attitude. The show functions first and foremost as a reading room, with opportunities for zine-making and tabling pop ups. It is not curated: hard-copy zines of any style and subject are included, except content out of alignment with the gallery's Equity Commitments and zines with AI generated content. Zines are not for sale and will be preserved for the future SMUSH Gallery Zine Library. New zine makers of all ages are welcome, and zines for and by kids 12 and younger are welcome for a planned special section. Participating artists may sign up to table on weekends during the show.
