About this call

Travel is the travel stream of Creating, Knowing and Sharing: The Arts and Cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples. The Council describes it as project funding for First Nations, Inuit and Métis individuals, groups and organizations to attend significant events that advance professional development or artistic research, enable access to new markets and build audiences. The wider program supports Indigenous individuals and groups, Indigenous led arts organizations and arts and cultural sector development organizations that foster a vital and resilient Indigenous arts ecosystem, and it acknowledges the cultural sovereignty of Indigenous peoples and respects the concept of First Nations, Inuit and Métis self determination. There is no fixed deadline. Applications are accepted any time before the departure date, and the Council says results usually arrive within 3 months of submitting an application.
