Artistic Creation
About this call
Artistic Creation is the single creation stream of the Canada Council's Explore and Create program. The Council describes it as supporting the creation of artistic work from initial idea to public presentation, helping Canadian artists, groups and arts organizations develop, create and share artistic works at any or all stages of the creative process. It consolidates the activities previously funded by two separate components, Research and Creation and Concept to Realization. Explore and Create as a whole supports research, development, creation, production and sharing of work as well as professional development, and encourages artists and curators to investigate creative processes and take risks. There is no fixed deadline. Applications are accepted at any time before the start date of the project or activity, and the Council says results usually arrive within 5 months of submitting an application.
