About this call

The Taichung Art Museum's 2028 Open Call runs on two tracks. All Welcome is for artists and groups in any medium, of any age, with contextual, experimental and innovative exhibition projects; the museum selects up to 3 projects (plus up to 2 on a waiting list) for the second half of 2028. Art Supporting Project is for curators and curatorial teams, with priority for applicants aged 40 and under; 1 project is selected (plus 1 on a waiting list) for the first half of 2028 and is developed with advisory mentors and observers. Each exhibition slot lasts about 16 weeks, including installation and deinstallation, in Exhibition Room B, which is divided into two sections. Funding covers artist or curatorial fees, transport of works, installation and deinstallation, exhibition construction, design and printing of promotional materials, equipment and insurance. Proposals are judged on concept, exhibited works, spatial planning and budget feasibility. Results are announced on the museum's website by March 15, 2027.
