About this call
Jentel Artist Residency, 20 miles southeast of Sheridan, Wyoming, United States, in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains, invites visual artists in any medium, writers and composers to apply for its Summer/Fall 2027 sessions. Residencies run about three weeks, from the 15th of one month to the 7th of the next, between May 15 and December 7, 2027, with six residents on site each session. Each resident has a private bedroom, a shared living area and kitchen, and a separate studio, and receives a $300 stipend paid in weekly installments. Jentel is a low-tech, no-equipment residency: residents bring their own materials and laptops and buy their own food. Applications are reviewed by a rotating panel of visual art, literary and music professionals, with notification by March 15.
