About this call
Rotterdam Photo, an international photography festival held annually in the public space of Rotterdam, invites photographers worldwide to its 2027 open call on the theme Vibrance: The Pulse of a Living World. Two international categories are open. In Projects, selected photographers present a project in a dedicated exhibition space within the festival's container village, may present and sell their work, and pay no commission on sales; each develops a personal exhibition project with curatorial freedom, before an audience of 10,000+ visitors in the centre of Rotterdam during Art Week. In Single Image, selected images are printed on PVC at 2.5 x 2.5 metres and installed on exterior container structures, with full production covered by the festival, and displayed in public space throughout the festival period. Selected photographers are included in the festival programme and publications, can take part in the Rotterdam Photo Talks and networking events, and are featured on partner platforms including LensCulture, Dodho Magazine and All About Photo. Photographers may apply to multiple categories, and each submission is reviewed separately by a professional selection committee.
