Kariton Art Gallery 2027 Exhibition Open Call

About this call

The Kariton Art Gallery and Abbotsford Arts Council are accepting exhibition proposals for the 2027 calendar year, with particular interest in exhibitions that explore themes, experiences or partnerships meaningful for residents of the Fraser Valley. Solo, group and collective proposals are welcome, and emerging artists may apply. Exhibitions run for one month, opening on the first Saturday and closing on the last Saturday of the month, with an opening reception on opening day and digital marketing made from the artist's images.

• Open to artists living in British Columbia, with preference for artists living in the Fraser Valley; applications from outside BC will not be considered. Solo, group and collective proposals are welcome; the gallery often pairs complementary artists, so say if that appeals to you. Free to apply. Artists accepted for exhibition are asked to buy an Abbotsford Arts Council annual membership: $30, or $20 for students and seniors. Artists are not paid to exhibit; the council charges a 30% commission on works sold, and works do not have to be for sale. Apply through the online form by 11:59 pm PT on Friday, November 13, 2026; late entries are not considered. Only successful applicants are contacted, by email by December 12, 2026.
