About this call

ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE MUNICH, Ebenböckhaus and Salta art, in partnership with ERA Foundation, offer a residency for two contemporary visual artists from South America from July 7 to September 29, 2027. The artists live and work at Ebenböckhaus in Munich-Pasing, Germany, which has a large apartment for up to three people with lockable living and sleeping rooms, a shared kitchen and bathroom, and three rooms (52 m²) for work and public presentation; a curator from South America lives there for part of the period as curator-in-residence. Each artist receives a grant and accommodation contract of €1,300 a month from the City of Munich's Cultural Department, rent-free accommodation, return tickets from South America to Munich (economy or 2nd class), a shared studio at Empfangshalle in Munich's Museumsquartier, a €600 research trip allowance and a MakerPlus membership at MakerSpace Munich. The residency ends with an Open Studio at Ebenböckhaus. The City of Munich decides on the recommendation of the Salta art jury (Amanda Carneiro, Chus Martínez, Anna Schneider); applicants hear by the end of December 2026. The Ebenböckhaus is not barrier-free.
