EMMA Creative Center Pforzheim: Designers in Residence 2027

About this call

Every year from April to June, the city of Pforzheim invites international young designers for a three-month residency at EMMA Creative Center Pforzheim, in cooperation with Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences and the Design Center Baden-Württemberg. The program welcomes designers from jewellery, fashion, accessories, industrial design, communication design, and related disciplines. Interdisciplinary approaches are explicitly encouraged. Three scholarship positions are available for the 2027 cohort. Selected residents receive a monthly stipend of EUR 1,000, free accommodation for the full duration, fully equipped workstations in the workshops at the creative centre, access to Pforzheim University workshops when needed, and a grant to cover material costs. Travel expenses are reimbursed. The residency runs from 1 April to 30 June 2027. At the conclusion of the program, residents present their work in an exhibition at EMMA. Applications for 2027 must be submitted through the online application portal by 2 November 2026 at 23:59 CET.

A final exhibition presenting the results of the residency is required.
