SSA 128th Annual Exhibition, General Submissions 2027

About this call

The Society of Scottish Artists invites general submissions for its 128th Annual Exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy on The Mound in Edinburgh, running 14 February to 10 March 2027. This call covers painting, printmaking, photography, drawing, sculpture and all other media not handled by the separate calls for proposals, installations and performance, or moving image. Selected works are shown alongside those strands. Entries close 7 October 2026 at noon and pre-selection results are notified on 5 and 6 November 2026.

Who can apply

• International applicants
• Medium: Painting / Printmaking / Photography / Drawing / Sculpture
• Entry fee: £20
• Artists do not need to be Scottish or have a Scottish connection. Non members pay GBP 20 per submission and may submit up to three works (GBP 20 / 40 / 60). All entries go through Zealous; only pre-selected works are accepted on hand in day. All selected works must be for sale, and pre-selected works must be delivered to and collected from the gallery by the artist or a nominated representative or courier.
