About this call

Interface, a studio residency programme and exhibition space in the Inagh Valley in Connemara, Ireland, announces a new paid residency for contemporary visual artists based in the Gaeltacht who work through the Irish language. Three artists will be selected for two concurrent weeks in April 2027 around the open theme Le Saol Na Saol or World Without End, exploring permanence, life without death, and biological and linguistic regeneration. The programme includes a workshop led by field archaeologist Michael Gibbons, conversations with the curator Nuala Ní Fhlathúin, and an open day at the end where the artists share their work in progress with the public. The strand is fully supported by Ealaín na Gaeltachta.
