Ole Staxen Foundation Residency at Refugiet Rævehaugen 2027

About this call

The Ole Staxen Foundation is accepting applications for residencies at Refugiet Rævehaugen in Græsted, Denmark, between May and October 2027. Each residency lasts about four weeks on fixed dates, and every artist receives a grant of DKK 20,000 (EUR 2675) toward expenses such as travel, materials and food. Residents choose between the artist's studio and the ceramics studio. The Foundation prioritises applicants with specific projects, and applications are assessed by its board.

• Applicants must have completed an artistic education or an equivalent relevant degree within the past five years. 2027 periods: 1 to 27 May, 1 to 28 June, 3 to 30 July, 4 to 31 August, 5 September to 2 October; indicate your preferred period and whether you want the artist's studio or the ceramics studio. The Foundation does not provide materials: residents buy and obtain what they need before the residency starts, and materials ordered for delivery must arrive during the residency period, as packages cannot be received before the stay begins. Submit one PDF of no more than 5 MB to opencall@olestaxenfonden.dk with a project description (max. 1 page), CV (max. 2 pages) and work samples (max. 5 pages). Applications are reviewed before February 2027 and all applicants receive a response by email; no individual feedback is given.
