Coming Together: Fotografiska Emerging Open Call

About this call

Fotografiska Emerging, the Berlin, Germany based platform of the Fotografiska museums, invites artists to submit images that explore community and shared celebration, from gatherings around a family table to moments of belonging within a chosen community. Unexpected interpretations are welcome alongside familiar scenes. Five artists will each receive €300, a feature on the Emerging platform, a feature on Instagram through @fotografiska and @fotografiska.emerging, and a mention in the Emerging newsletter.

Who can apply

• Open to applicants of any nationality

• Submit one image per submission, up to five images in total, on the theme of togetherness and community. Submissions go through the Fotografiska Emerging platform, where only people aged 18 or over may register. You must be the sole holder of the rights to the photos, including the right to publish images of people shown; illegal, hateful, discriminatory, violent or sexually explicit content is not allowed. Uploading grants the operator a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide right to use the photos for running the platform. The call page states no entry fee. Deadline 3 December, 10 AM CET.
