About this call
The Don Bachardy Fellowship brings one post-graduate artist from outside the United Kingdom to the Royal Drawing School in London for the summer term, from 26 April to 3 July 2027. The fellow attends the school's Shoreditch campus, occupies one of the studios reserved for postgraduate students and spends 3 full days a week for ten weeks drawing alongside students on the school's postgraduate-level programme, with access to its lecture series. The fellowship supports an emerging artist and nurtures drawing as their foundation skill, so applicants should show evidence of observational drawing in their practice. A $7,500 stipend helps with travel and accommodation, half paid on receipt of the fellowship and half on arrival in London. It is sponsored by The Christopher Isherwood Foundation.
