About this call

The Northwest Arts Center at Minot State University in North Dakota holds the 55th year of its Paperworks juried exhibition, open to entrants from around the world, for works in any medium on or of paper, photographs included. Juror Aline Smithson, a Los Angeles based artist, educator and founder of Lenscratch, reviews submissions blind from digital images; accepted works are shown in the Walter Piehl Gallery from 14 January to 18 February 2027. Awards total $2,500 in cash and purchase awards, with five Merit Awards and a Best of Show that earns a future solo exhibition and an invitation to the Best of the Best exhibit. Every entrant receives a complimentary copy of the illustrated catalogue.
