A Mess Up? Group Exhibition at A Space Gallery

About this call

A Space Gallery in Brooklyn, New York, United States, invites visual artists working in any medium to submit to A Mess Up?, a group exhibition of happy accidents. The gallery wants works in which something went wrong during the making, such as a spill, a slip, a ruined exposure or a structure that gave way, and the artist followed the mistake through instead of starting over. The accident must be real, not staged, and the finished work must stand on its own. During the show the gallery will host an interactive ceremony for visitors.

• Open to applicants of any nationality
