About this call
For the 15th anniversary of the discovery of the Higgs boson, CERN, the City of Geneva and the Republic and Canton of Geneva present the Grand Prix Resonance, a special edition of the Resonance residency programme in Geneva, Switzerland. Two artists applying as a duo, or an artist collective, based in the Canton of Geneva are invited to propose a fully funded two-month residency at CERN in summer 2027 (June to July), with a tailored programme curated by Arts at CERN that includes dialogue with scientists, engineers and staff and visits to experiments and facilities. The proposal covers the research period at CERN and a new artwork to be produced afterwards; particular attention goes to digital, multimedia and transmedia practices, including sound-based and immersive approaches. Results are announced in March 2027.
