About this call

Echo Among Us is a five-week, fully funded residency in Tucson, Arizona, United States, for 5 to 8 Tucson-based artists who self-identify as disabled. It prioritises process over production, with sensory-led workshops, seminars from international artists and researchers, site visits, group critiques and time for independent making; one week turns to the Sonoran Desert as a site of memory, movement, belonging and exchange. The residency runs from 31 May to 28 June 2027, followed by a public exhibition in July 2027 (dates to be determined). No project proposal is required. Supported in part by Night Bloom: Grants for Artists through MOCA Tucson and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
