About this call

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography in Glasgow, United Kingdom, invites photographers to submit work on the theme of Boundaries, physical limitations or social agreements, read literally or metaphorically. Selected photographers have their work printed, installed and shown in a month-long exhibition in the gallery from 1 to 25 April 2027, and online via the gallery's social media and an online gallery on its website. Everyone selected receives a digital certificate of participation and photos of the installed show, and is put forward for Photographer of the Month; those named appear in an end-of-year zine and receive a free copy. Selected work can be listed for sale during the exhibition. Emerging and established photographers are welcome, and you do not need to be a professional.

Who can apply

  • Open to applicants of any nationality
  • Medium: Photography
  • Free entry
  • Open to everyone. Submissions are free; if your work is selected there is a £50 participation fee, which covers printing, installing and taking down the work (frames belong to the gallery).
