About this call
Artotéka, the art lending library of the Municipal Library of Prague, is inviting short exhibition projects for 2027. Exhibitions take place in display cases in the entrance hall of the library's Opatov branch in Prague, Czech Republic, which receives up to 15,000 visitors a month, and are accompanied by events such as workshops, talks, guided meetings and technique demonstrations. The library is looking for projects that reach its varied audience and engage sensitively with the Jižní Město district, and wants a connected 2027 programme where different generations, media, approaches and themes meet. Selected projects get 6 to 8 weeks of exhibition time, transport of the exhibition within Prague, help with installation, curatorial support, promotion and the option of a public programme. Results will be announced by the end of 2026.

- Open to individual projects, artist duos and art groups. Send the application form (downloadable PDF) and the required attachments by email to artoteka@mlp.cz: author's or curator's portfolio and CV, a project description (1 to 3 standard pages) and images. The form asks for the project name, collaborators or collaborating institutions, preferred exhibition dates and a short annotation (5 lines).
