About this call
The District of West Vancouver invites artists and artist teams to design and integrate site-specific public art at Place for Sport, 1750 Mathers Avenue, on the West Vancouver Secondary School site. As part of the redevelopment of the track and field, an art element will be built into the long wall near the entrance to the track. Artists may propose an art mural, a fabricated wall installation using materials such as stainless steel or aluminium, or both. The work should spark dialogue, hold interest for the people using the field, sit inside the overall design of the sports field, and convey movement, resilience, energy and inclusivity across age, gender and ability. This is Stage One, an Expression of Interest.
