This is Gender: Regional Curatorial Fellowship
About this call
This is Gender, the photography and visual storytelling platform run by Global 50/50, is launching its first Regional Curatorial Fellows Programme. For the first time the platform is embedding regional curators directly inside its global photography competition, so that local knowledge and critical perspective shape how work is discovered, interpreted, contextualised and shared. Fellows work inside a competition that receives thousands of submissions a year, help shape selection and interpretation, contribute to exhibitions, editorial outputs and digital storytelling, and develop their own writing and curatorial voice alongside international judges, curators, artists and editors. The programme runs part-time for seven months from October 2026, at roughly one day a week, with a stipend of up to £3,000. Applications close on 22 September.
