Rondo Residency Open Call for Spring Semester 2027

About this call

Rondo is an international artist residency based in Colonia Portales, Mexico City, housed in a former print factory. The Spring 2027 program runs January through July across five sessions of 4 or 6 weeks, welcoming up to 6 artists at a time. No application fee; residency participation fees apply.

• Medium: Painting / Drawing / Sculpture / Performance / Textile / New Media / Photography / Installation
• Free entry
• Two modes available: Live-Work (on-site accommodation included) or Studio-Only (arrange own accommodation). Working languages: English and Spanish. Disciplines include visual arts, sculpture, performing arts, textile art, new media, curatorial practice, and photography. Residency fee: $2,000 USD for 4-week Live-Work; $1,400 USD for Studio-Only. National artists (Mexico) receive 40% subsidy from El Paint Lab.
