About this call
Spokane Falls Community College hosts a three-month winter-quarter residency for one emerging Native American artist, running 5 January to 26 March 2027. The residency provides $9,000 in stipends, travel reimbursement up to $800, furnished off-campus lodging and access to campus studios and equipment. The artist is expected on campus a minimum of 35 hours per week. Applications are accepted from 15 June 2026 to 20 October 2026 and there is no fee to apply.

- Open to an emerging Native American artist who is an enrolled member of a US Federally Recognized Tribe. Emerging means artists who are without gallery representation. Priority is given to artists from Pacific Northwest tribes and tribes indigenous to the region. Applicants must work in ceramics, drawing, jewelry and metalsmithing, painting, printmaking or sculpture. Currently enrolled SFCC students are not eligible.
