2026 Lucie Scholarship Program
About this call
The Lucie Foundation supports professional and emerging photographers whose vision and ideas push still photography forward. The scholarship spans fine art, documentary and photojournalism, and covers both digital and film based work. Four cash grants plus additional prizes are awarded, and winners are included in a group exhibition that then travels to House of Lucie galleries worldwide. Applicants submit a project proposal of up to 1,500 characters covering the project description, the plan for completing it, how the scholarship money would be used and five goals, together with a one page biography or CV and twenty digital images. The 2026 jury includes Antares Wells of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Ukrainian curator Kateryna Radchenko and curator and writer Elizabeth Ferrer. Finalists and winners are announced in October 2026.

- Entry fee: $15
- Open to photographers aged 18 and over worldwide. Professional means earning the majority of income from photography; emerging means enrolled as a student, within the first five years of a photography career, or not earning the majority of income from photography. The submission fee is $25 per entry in the professional category and $15 per entry in the emerging category. There is no limit on the number of applications per artist and the same project may be entered in two categories. Required material: a project proposal of up to 1,500 characters, a one page biography or CV, and twenty digital images in JPG only, 72 DPI, no file over 4 MB. Online submissions only, no prints, books or CDs. The photographer must be the sole author and copyright owner, and copyright stays with the photographer.
