About this call

The Embassy of Foreign Artists offers a three-month artistic research residency in Geneva, in partnership with the Centre for Digital Humanities. Artists engage with the archives of Geneva-based international intergovernmental or non-governmental organisations, such as UN Archives Geneva and the ICRC Archives, transforming archival material into new artistic work. A monthly stipend of CHF 1,400 is provided, along with accommodation; artists cover their own travel and production costs.

Who can apply

  • International applicants
  • Medium: Mixed Media
  • Free entry
  • Applicants must be over 28 years of age, have a professional artistic practice, speak French or English fluently, and not be enrolled in a basic art training program during the residency.
