About this call
Berlinale Talents welcomes 200 outstanding emerging filmmakers from around the world for a week of creative exchange during the Berlin International Film Festival (February 12-17, 2027). The programme spans 15 disciplines including directing, screenwriting, producing, cinematography, and sound design. Participants must cover their own travel and accommodation, though regional film institutes may offer support.

- Entry fee: €15
- Open to working professionals in 15 film disciplines: actor, cinematographer, composer, costume designer, director, distributor, editor, film critic/journalist, marketing professional, producer, production designer, programmer/curator, sales agent, screenwriter, sound designer. Directors must have at least one feature-length film or two short films screened at festivals or released. Students admitted only in exceptional cases with prior industry experience. Application fee: EUR 15 (early bird EUR 10 before August 19, 2026). Final deadline: September 2, 2026 at 12:00 noon CEST.
