SIM Residency Reykjavik

SIM Residency in Reykjavik is run by SIM, the Association of Icelandic Visual Artists. It welcomes all creators and art practitioners to propose an art or research project, including those working in visual arts, design, architecture, music, dance, performance art, creative writing, curation, cultural work and scientific research. Candidates should hold a BA or higher degree, though exceptions are made for self-taught artists presenting extended CVs and projects. Application is free, but accepted artists pay a fixed programme fee of 50,000 ISK plus an accommodation fee ranging from 140,000 ISK (single room/studio) to 260,000 ISK per month. Artists may join for one to three months, with applications reviewed weekly year-round. The deadline for this listing is August 31, 2026.
