About this call
The Hale Master of Fine Art Residency, run by the Artists Association of Nantucket (AAN), funds artists who are currently enrolled in or have recently graduated (within five years) from an MFA graduate program. The month-long residency is designed for an artist whose work explores aesthetic beauty, providing space and time to focus solely on their practice. Hale Fellowships take place during the winter months of January and February. Residents stay in AAN Kaaren and Charles Hale apartment for artists in residence, a furnished studio apartment in the Visual Art Center with a dining area, living area, kitchen and private bathroom, plus a private studio equipped with tables, chairs and easels. The application deadline is August 31, 2026.
