About this call

Goethe-Institut Vietnam, in collaboration with the No Cai Bum Festival, is offering a residency in Tra Vinh for four emerging art practitioners from the Lower Mekong Subregion: Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar. The program invites participants with an interest in culture, history, or linguistics to explore myth-making in Tra Vinh and how a single place can hold multiple cultural, historical, and spiritual truths. The residency runs from 15 October to 15 November 2026 and includes a shared working space with a simple ceramic studio. Selected artists receive an artist and production fee of up to EUR 800, fully funded travel to and from their home country, accommodation, local transportation, and a living stipend of EUR 200. Participants also gain an exhibition opportunity with funded travel to the No Cai Bum Art Festival in late December 2026 or early January 2027. Applicants should have English proficiency and submit through the online form on the Goethe-Institut website.
