About this call
The Artist-in-Residence Program at Zion National Park offers professional visual, performing, and literary artists the opportunity to live and work surrounded by the park's landscape. This application cycle selects artists for three month-long (30-day) residencies in 2027, with residency periods spread across the year. Selected artists stay in a historic cabin within Zion at no cost and receive a travel reimbursement. In return, each resident presents two public programs and is expected to engage with park visitors, and a donated artwork is requested. Note: the program currently accepts U.S.-based applicants only and is not accepting international applicants at this time. A modest application fee applies.
