About this call

The Hold Space Retreat for Artists of Color, hosted by Ox-Bow School of Art in Saugatuck, Michigan, offers artists and cultural workers of color dedicated time for communal living, creative practice and rest. The 2026 retreat runs September 14 to 20, with stays of one to seven nights available for individuals or groups of up to twelve. The retreat is fully funded, valued at around US$300 per person per day, and provides lodging, two chef-prepared meals per day and 24-hour studio access. People of color across the creative spectrum, including artists of any discipline, writers, curators, teachers and Ox-Bow alumni, are encouraged to apply.
