Wassaic Project 2027 Artist Residencies
About this call
The Wassaic Project invites individual artists, collaborative teams, and groups to apply for its 2027 residency program in the historic Hudson Valley hamlet of Wassaic, New York. Summer residencies are held in the Luther Barn with spacious studios of 200-300 square feet, while winter residencies take place at the iconic Maxon Mills with more intimate studio spaces. The residency operates on a sliding scale fee system from $0 to $900 per session, with need-blind financial assistance available and application fee waivers offered for financial hardship. Residents gain 24-hour studio access, a private bedroom in a shared house, access to a print shop and wood shop, and regular programming including group and individual studio visits and artist talks. The application deadline is July 1, 2026, with notifications expected in early October 2026.
