Applicants must complete their Ph.D. or comparable artistic degree between June 1, 2024 and August 24, 2027; Arts Initiative applicants need an MFA or comparable terminal arts degree in that window. For the 2027 to 2030 term the fellowship is available in Creative Writing (English) and Film, Television, & Media. Candidates whose terminal degree is from the University of Michigan are not eligible.
