About this call
The City of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, invites professional artists and artist collectives to submit an Expression of Interest for an illuminated, interactive sculpture with interpretive panels in English and French at James Stevenson Park, 325 Burnham Street. The permanent outdoor work commemorates 150 years since Peterborough's first recorded local baseball game and is part of a Legacy Grant upgrade funded through the Government of Canada's Building Communities through Arts and Heritage program. The artwork must use durable, low-maintenance materials suited to year-round outdoor conditions, and its illumination must come from solar or battery power. Up to three artists or collectives will be shortlisted, notified on December 3, 2026, to develop design proposals, due January 18, 2027.
