About this call

As part of the Bicentenary of Photography, the Musée Postal in Paris, France, launches its first photography prize to support the production of an original project offering a contemporary view of La Poste in its human, material and immaterial dimensions. The winner receives €15,000 including tax, paid 30% on signing the agreement and 70% on delivery of the finished work, together with privileged support within the La Poste group. All photographic approaches are accepted: documentary, reportage, visual arts or experimental. The museum pays for producing the prints, an estimated 12 to 30 of at most 60 × 90 cm, with La Fabrique de l'image, and a selection of signed and numbered prints enters the museum's collection. Shortlisted applicants present their project to the jury on 6 January 2027; the series is produced from February to June 2027.

Who can apply

  • France only
  • Medium: Photography
  • Entry fee: See official site
  • Only professional photographers of any age living in France (mainland or overseas) who can prove professional status (for example URSSAF certificate, artist-author status, Kbis extract or production company certificate). The project must be about La Poste today, continue your artistic practice and offer an original, contemporary view. Send by email to Prixphoto.museepostal@laposte.fr before 15 November 2026 at 23:59 Paris time, subject line NOM Prénom - Prix photo Musée Postal, as a PDF attachment of at most 10 MB (a single file is recommended), containing: an illustrated portfolio (6 pages max.) representative of your approach and previous work, a statement of intent (2 pages max.) with a summary of at most 500 characters including spaces, a CV or account of your career with full contact details (postal address, email, phone), date and place of birth, current place of residence and a copy of a valid ID, and proof of professional status. Illegible, incomplete or late applications are not examined. Any use of AI to generate or alter images or videos must be stated explicitly in the project description or statement, with the tools used and the extent of their use; failing to do so can lead to disqualification, even after the winner is named. Shortlisted applicants present their project to the jury on 6 January 2027 at the museum (or remotely if necessary); the museum may decide not to award the prize. The prize is paid 30% on signing the agreement and 70% on presentation of the finished work. Signing a copyright assignment contract for the works produced is a condition of payment; the €15,000 may include, in whole or in part, payment for the rights assigned. The winner delivers very high definition files within the agreement's deadlines, accepts that a significant set of signed and numbered prints enters the museum's collection, grants the museum non-exclusive reproduction and representation rights for the selected works, and credits the project as made within the Premier Prix Photographique du Musée Postal.
