Artery Artist Accelerator (AAA) Cohort #02

About this call

The Artery Artist Accelerator (AAA) selects up to 6 artists based in Singapore for its second cohort. The 12-month programme gives each artist a living stipend of up to $2,000 per month, purchase of their works by Artery up to a specific quantum, full business, legal and marketing support based on a mutually agreed work plan, and curatorial mentorship; artists are expected to set goals and follow through with the work plan. For four years after the programme, artists have a chance to be sponsored for selected overseas residency programmes, allocated annual curatorial hours and $10,000 in credits for business, legal or marketing services. Shortlisted applicants are interviewed by curators and the CEO from 26 November to 5 December, then by the assessment panel from 4 to 17 January; the cohort is announced on 1 February.

• Only open to artists based in Singapore: you must be a Singaporean, a Singapore permanent resident or hold a valid work visa in Singapore. Applicants are assessed on a sustained visual art practice for at least the past 2 years, public engagement, portfolio, career goals, long-term benefit potential and readiness to engage consistently during the programme. The form asks for a CV and portfolio, up to 3 works currently available for acquisition (title, year, medium, dimensions, price in SGD, a 100 to 200 word description), links, up to 2 references, employment details and questions on your practice, exhibition history, present needs as an early-career artist and goals. Shortlisted applicants have a 30 minute interview with the curators and CEO and a 30 minute interview with the assessment panel.
