About this call
Bath Open Studios holds group exhibitions in community spaces around Bath alongside its eight individual art trails. Its next group show, on the theme Whatever the Weather, goes up in the Art at the Heart space at the Royal United Hospital (RUH) and runs from 16 November 2026 to February 2027. The space is the hospital's central main corridor, so the work is seen by a constant flow of visitors, patients and staff, and the organisers report that the shows often produce sales. Submissions are open from 7 September to 14 October 2026 and are free. Any artist who has taken part in one of Bath's eight art trails and open studios may apply, including artists who are not taking part in a trail this year. Any medium is acceptable, including statement jewellery (no earrings). Each artist may submit a maximum of two works, even if they exhibit in more than one trail. Two-dimensional work of any size is accepted but ideally no larger than 90cm by 90cm including the frame, and three-dimensional pieces are limited to 30cm in depth and height because of the size of the glass wall cabinet. Acceptances are confirmed by 23 October 2026 and a hanging fee of five pounds for one piece or seven pounds fifty for two is payable by 30 October. All work is exhibited at the artist's own risk.
