UTS Library Creative in Residence 2027

About this call

The University of Technology Sydney Library invites artists of any discipline to apply for its 16th Creative in Residence program, a six-month residency (approximately March to September 2027) based at UTS Central in Broadway, Sydney. The program provides AUD ,000 stipend and AUD ,000 materials budget, and does not require UTS affiliation. Selected residents must commit to on-site presence at least once weekly for 16 weeks, engaging with the library community and completing a creative project.

Who can apply

• Medium: Painting / Drawing / Photography / Sculpture / Mixed Media / Installation / New Media / Video / Performance / Writing
• Free entry
• Open to all artists worldwide; no UTS affiliation required. Must commit to on-site presence at least once weekly for 16 weeks. Applicants must submit CV, artist statement, portfolio, and project proposal. Applications close 5pm Monday 26 October 2026. Contact: Mia.Turner@uts.edu.au.
