Pedantic Arts Residency and Research Grant 2027

About this call

Pedantic Arts, a programme of Casey Droege Cultural Productions in Pittsburgh, offers two tracks for 2027: a 4-week residency and a 1-to-2-week research grant. The residency provides a $2,000 stipend and a free furnished three-bedroom apartment in Pittsburgh; the research grant supports shorter-term visits mid-July through mid-October. Both tracks are open to visual artists, curators/organizers, and writers who live outside the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. International applicants are welcome and visa support is available. The programme connects residents with Pittsburgh's creative community through institutional passes, professional development, and a local guide in a related field. Residency periods are Summer 2027 or Fall 2027. Applications are free through September 28, 2026; a $20 fee applies from September 29. Deadline is October 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST.
