About this call
Tokyo Biennale 2027 is running an open call for its Social Dive programme, an art project in which artists immerse themselves in neighbourhoods across Tokyo to work with the traditions local residents hold and the new values emerging among them. Proposals are invited from around the world under the theme From Me to Us. A wide range of formats is accepted, including artwork creation, exhibitions, performances, video works, tours, workshops, participatory projects, research projects and curatorial projects. Selected participants come to Tokyo for research and residency based production, with travel, accommodation, a production budget and an honorarium covered.
