spazioSERRA Open Call 2026/2027: Where Is the Tomorrow We Saw Yesterday
About this call
spazioSERRA launches its 2026/2027 open call marking the space's tenth anniversary. The call invites contemporary artists, individuals and collectives, from any country to propose practices, processes, and open questions rather than finished projects. Housed in an octagonal glass structure of approximately 40 square meters at Milan's Lancetti railway station, spazioSERRA emphasizes supporting uncertain research processes that may remain incomplete long enough to transform themselves. Selected artists receive EUR 500 to 2,000 per project for production costs, travel, accommodation, and promotional materials, with free use of the exhibition space. A 10-member curatorial collective, collettivoSERRA, conducts the selection and provides ongoing dialogue throughout project development. Applications are open from July 15 to September 6, 2026. First selection results by November 2026, followed by interviews in November and December, with final results announced by December 2026. A EUR 12 annual membership fee is required to participate.
