Elemental: Earth, Air, Fire, Water Photography Open Call

TCG Gallery, an independent New York City based online photography gallery, invites photographers and lens-based artists worldwide to submit to Elemental: Earth, Air, Fire, Water. The curators frame the four elements as more than scenery: they are pressure, weather, heat, erosion, breath, flood, smoke, stone, ash, light, atmosphere and survival, carrying emotional weight around beauty, danger, memory, destruction, renewal and transformation. Submissions may treat the elements literally, metaphorically, abstractly or experimentally, and the gallery explicitly notes that a photograph of water does not have to be about water; the strongest images may come from what the elements leave behind. All forms of two dimensional images are welcome, traditional and non conventional, with an analog or digital photographic base, and both individual images and cohesive series may be entered. Each entry covers up to three images for a $15 USD fee, with waivers available on the honor system for artists in financial hardship, and multiple entries are permitted. Judging is a blind review that weighs image quality, originality, theme relevance and exhibition cohesion rather than biography or exhibition history. Around 35 images will be selected for the October 2026 online exhibition and the gallery's permanent archive. Work created by or substantially altered with artificial intelligence is prohibited.

- Entry fee: $15
- Open to photographers and visual artists worldwide, ages 18 and older. Submit up to 3 images per entry; more than one entry is allowed. Upload JPG or JPEG files with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side and a minimum file size of 500 KB when possible, suggested naming firstname_lastname_title-01.jpeg. There is no size or production year restriction. List print dimensions in inches or centimeters if the work is for sale, or mark it NFS. All work must be original and created by the submitting artist, who is responsible for third party copyright, privacy and publicity clearances. AI generated or substantially AI altered work is prohibited. Entry fee is $15 USD per entry; artists needing a waiver should contact the gallery before submitting. Submissions may be retained for up to one year for administrative purposes. TCG Gallery cannot accept submissions where doing so would violate applicable United States sanctions, export or payment processing restrictions.
