Changing Asia 2026: Moments of Connection, Smiles and Hands of the Asia-Pacific
About this call
Changing Asia is an annual international photography exhibition organised by China Daily together with the Asia News Network. The 2026 theme is Moments of Connection: Smiles and Hands of the Asia-Pacific, echoing the APEC 2026 slogan Building an Asia-Pacific Community to Prosper Together, with a focus on cooperation, inclusivity and sustainable growth. The organisers are looking for images that tell the story of Asia and its communities: resilience, mutual assistance, trade, cultural exchange and the everyday interactions between people, economy, society and nature. The selected work goes into a photo book and an exhibition opening on 26 October 2026 at the Shenzhen Research Institute of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, staged as a lead-up event to the 2026 APEC meeting. - Open to photographers worldwide, with no stated nationality or regional restriction. All submitted images must have been taken from 1 January 2023 to the present. Each submission carries between one and ten photographs, each at least 3000px on the long side, and each submission needs a written description. Basic editing such as filters and colour enhancement is allowed. Submitted images may be reused by the organisers for promotional purposes including the exhibition and related photography projects. Entry is free and closes 19 September 2026 at 4:59 PM.
