About this call

The Art Gallery of Mississauga invites emerging and established artists living and working in Ontario to apply to its sixth annual juried show. Each artist may submit one recent work completed between 2023 and 2026 across a wide range of media. The 2026 jury is made up of artist Cathie Jamieson, artist Shaheer Zazai and curator Valentyna Onisko. Selected artists are notified during the week of 12 October 2026, the exhibition runs from 7 November 2026 to 10 January 2027, and the opening reception with awards presentations takes place on 12 November 2026. The gallery also runs a free online submission preparation seminar on 16 August 2026.

Entry fee: C$45
Open to all emerging and established artists 18 years of age and older, living and working in Ontario. Artists may submit one recent piece completed between 2023 and 2026. Accepted media are paintings in any medium, drawings, mixed media, fibre art and sculpture, photography, new media and video. Work must be original and exhibition ready, with two dimensional pieces professionally framed or mounted with securely attached D hooks and wiring. The call closes on 13 September 2026 at 5:59 pm or when the 300 submission capacity is met, whichever comes first. Entry fees are non refundable and are paid through the online application. Selected artists are responsible for all shipping and must deliver work to the gallery on 23, 24 or 25 October 2026.
