About this call

The City of Lone Tree and the Lone Tree Arts Commission run an annual program that turns traffic control cabinets around the Colorado city into displays for original artwork. Selected designs are printed on vinyl wrap by a third-party fabricator and applied to all sides of the cabinets. The commission is asking for finished artwork rather than concepts, encourages bright and vibrant color, and asks artists to avoid iconography already heavily used in Lone Tree. Work cannot contain advertising, religious, sexual or violent content, or convey political partisanship. Four designs will be selected and each artist or group receives $500. Applicants must be Colorado residents; community and student groups may apply, there are no age restrictions, and members of the Arts Commission and city employees are excluded. Each artist or team may submit up to three works, files must translate to a 300 dpi vector PDF, and there is no entry fee. Submissions close on September 2, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. MST, with notifications on October 15 and installation late in 2026.
