About this call
Drawing Rooms is looking for work that takes on the idea of being torn. That can mean work physically made by tearing materials in collage, fiber, painting or assemblage, work that documents the residue of tearing, or compositions where competing elements and narratives never quite resolve. The curatorial statement cites Lee Krasner, Antoni Tàpies and Lucio Fontana as touchstones. The show runs September 10 to October 11, 2026 in Jersey City, New Jersey.
