About this call

Sausalito Center for the Arts runs SCA Open as its annual juried survey of artists working across California. The 2025 first edition drew close to 600 artists and roughly 1,500 submissions, and the 2026 edition keeps that open format. Three jurors representing a museum, a commercial gallery and an art school make the selection together, so the show is shaped by more than one way of looking. Work in every medium is welcome except video and AI generated artwork, and everything selected must be offered for sale. The exhibition runs from 30 October to 6 December 2026 in the waterfront galleries at 750 Bridgeway, with an opening reception on 1 November and a closing reception on 6 December. Accepted pieces have to be hand delivered to the gallery on 21 or 22 October, since no shipments are accepted. Entry costs 35 dollars for the first piece and 10 dollars for each of up to two more.
