About this call
STEPS Public Art, on behalf of the Municipality of North Perth, invites Canadian professional artists and artist teams to create durable sculptural artworks for two outdoor sites in the communities of Monkton and Gowanstown. The commission celebrates community identity, artistic expression, agriculture and rural life, and cultural diversity, with each installation set on a municipality-provided 12-foot by 5-foot concrete foundation. One artist is commissioned for both sites at $25,000 CAD per site, and shortlisted artists each receive $1,000 CAD to develop proposals. The submission deadline is August 3, 2026, and there is no application fee.
