About this call
MTA Arts & Design is collecting images of artists' previous work for upcoming public art commissions tied to ADA accessibility upgrades at three Queens stations on the Queens Boulevard Line: Parsons Blvd, Briarwood and Jamaica-179 St. The finished artworks will be realised in mosaic and/or glass by an approved fabricator, each averaging 475 to 600 square feet across multiple surfaces. A panel of arts and design professionals shortlists three sets of finalists, one per station, who develop proposals before one artist per station is commissioned. Applications require up to 20 images, a bio, CV, artist statement and the application form.
